Scouting for Food - November 13

As always, the Pack and Troop will be collecting any non perishable food or personal/hygiene items that you would like to donate, especially oatmeal, whole grain pasta, dried or canned beans, canned meat (such as tuna or chicken), cooking oil and spices, canned vegetables or canned fruit, baby food or formula. Personal hygiene items such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc., also are welcome. No glass containers, please.

Just place your donations in a bag or box, and put them by your front door by 9:30 am, on Saturday, November 13, 2021 . It would help us out greatly if you could attach the back page of this Bugle (or a page labeled Scouts) to your donation. That way we will not confuse your donation for a food delivery, which has become much more common in the past 2 years.

Support the Scouts!

It has been a tough year for nonprofits to do fundraising, which is why Scout Pack and Troop 763 appreciate your purchase of popcorn at all the outdoor movies. In addition to still selling the popcorn, we also are selling meat sticks that come in flavors such as teriyaki, bbq, Cajun, pepperoni, hickory, etc. They are $1 each and only 70 calories. If you like them and want to order a large amount, let me know and I can place an order and deliver it to you.

Cub Scout New Fundraiser

And, the Cub Scout Pack (elementary age kids) is doing a new fundraiser, which is to collect your gently used donations. Anything that you would take to a second hand store can be donated to the pack instead. We are especially interested in clothing (including shoes, hats, accessories), backpacks/purses and textiles such as blankets, sheets, towels, etc. We also take household goods such as dishes and other kitchen items, decorations, toys, small appliances, small furniture, electronics and sporting goods. We then get paid by the pound for what we collect.
